About the Marion Arts Council
The Marion Arts Council was established in 1976 and is comprised of 7 volunteer members approved and appointed by the Marion City Council. The Arts Council can have as many associate members to help with the responsibilities of recommending and planning art events and cultural activities.
MARION ARTS COUNCIL MISSION STATEMENT:
The Marion Arts Council promotes the importance of the arts and develops programs that maximize public awareness of art, artists, and culture.
The Arts Council meets every second Tuesday of each month starting at 5:30 p.m. in our studio. Our studio is located at:
Lowe Park Arts and Environment Center
4500 N Tenth Street
Marion, Iowa
